Be sure to check out the trailer below. This is such a powerful and moving story of a Nigerian-born Forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu, played by Will Smith. (I thought his Nigerian accent was interesting!)Dr. Omalu was the first to discover a degenerative disease associated with repeated brain trauma in the NFL.
He called it chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. The movie "Concussion" is based on what happens when the good doctor tries to seek a change in the NFL. In the picture is Will Smith, Dr. Omalu, and the Director of the movie, Peter Landesman.
The movie was released December 29th.
