I wanted to share the following pictures of the dilapidated Government College, Lagos, which I received from a KIRWA viewer in UK. Read his email below:
"My name is Pastor Joshua Adesanya, and I reside in the UK. I'm writing you to find out if it's possible for you to help run this story on the dilapidated condition of Govt College Lagos on Eric Moore Road, Surulere, Lagos, on Keeping it Real.
I was a student in the school from 1985 - 1991. From every indication it seems to me that the Govt of Lagos State has deliberately left the school to rot as it's never been touched since it was built over 40 years ago.
I'm part of the school's old boys association (GCLOBA) and actually the General Secretary of GCLOBA Europe. Even though we've been talking with the government to allow the Old Boys renovate the school with them partnering with us in a PPP arrangement, the body language of the Govt suggests a more sinister motive of wanting to take over the school's land for some other purpose and then put the students into a smaller new school that has been built in the same compound.
I'm hoping you can please help us in our "Save our School" campaign?"
