In case you're yet to watch the movie or at least see the trailer, Nigerian version of Spider-Man is out, and it's called Spider Girl.
In Nollywood's version, a group of students were on excursion (just like in Hollywood's Spider-man), when one of the girls was stung by a supposedly supernatural spider.
The lady was the outcast among them, but after her encounter with the spider, she became the hero, saving them from armed robbers.
I definitely support Nigerian production, but in this case, I kept asking where is our ingenuity? Even if we copy the story idea and modify it, I was hoping we would do a better job. Instead I found myself laughing through this trailer. Maybe because I've seen Spider-man 1, 2, and 3. Below are reactions of Nigerians to the movie

Forget Spider-Man, Nigerian Spider-Girl needs to be in Captain America: Civil War https://t.co/7olla8iLMx pic.twitter.com/DVsYnzB2KZ— Metro Entertainment (@Metro_Ents) March 31, 2016
