A leaked audio tape has surfaced online in which Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and his counterpart in Ekiti State, Governor Ayodele Fayose, celebrate Mr. Wike’s sharp maneuvers during the December 10, 2016 rerun of legislative elections in Rivers State.
In the audio obtained by Sahara Reporters, a person purported to be Wike confessed to how he used his position as the governor of the state to influence the outcome of the bloody December 10 Rivers rerun polls.
The two governors can be heard having an excited conversation about how Mr. Wike stormed a collation center during the election.
