'Biafra for Trump' solidarity rally turns violent in Rivers, IPOB claims 11 killed (VIDEO)

Security forces on Friday reportedly opened fire on members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) during a rally in support of US in-coming President Donald Trump.

Hundreds of people from different states in the south-eastern part of Nigeria took to the streets to march for Mr. Trump and call for him to support them.

Security forces tried to stop them, resulting in clashes.

IPOB members claim 11 of them were shot dead by security operatives.

Its news website said "over a dozen" fatalities had been recorded at the rally and more than 100 arrests.

The police in Port Harcourt deny the allegation.
