German police put Nigerian man in a headlock, drag him off train “for not having ticket” (PHOTOS,VIDEO)

German transport security have been accused of racism after they were filmed violently detaining a Nigerian man they claim was travelling without a ticket.

Video captured in Munich on Tuesday shows the 48-year-old Nigerian being placed in a headlock then thrown on to a station platform where he is pinned to the floor.

Police have confirmed they are investigating after a complaint of grievous bodily harm was made against the two Deutsche Bahn employees, while officers are also investigating the alleged fare-dodger.

Natalija Miletic, who works in the media, captured the incident on Thursday on board the S8 metro line from Munich Airport to the city.

As the footage starts one officer already has the man in a headlock, as he clings to a pole on board the train with his hands.

The second guard is trying to loosen his grip on the pole, as shocked commuters watch on.

As onlookers implore them to stop and accuse them of racism, the men manage to break the Nigerian man free of the train and drag him to the platform.

There, he is thrown to the ground with his arms behind his back as guards press his head to the floor.

By now a crowd has gathered at the train door and begins shouting at the guards before the footage cuts out.

She said: 'It was horrible. He was treated like an animal. I don’t think they would ever treated a German or a western European in this way.’

Since Miletic uploaded the footage to Facebook, it has been watched almost 1.5million times.

Most reacted with anger or sadness at the post, though some did try and defend the security, saying they were only doing their job.
