Nnamdi Kanu has left Nigeria to Malaysia and from there to London, his relative told me - Orji Uzor Kalu (VIDEO)

A former governor of Abia State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Orji Uzor Kalu, on Sunday said a relative of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, told him that the IPOB leader has left Nigeria for Malaysia and from there to London.

Mr. Kalu said this on Channels Television's Politics Today.

When asked if Nnamdi Kanu was still in Nigeria, he said: “The answer is no. The boy (Kanu's relative) told me authoritatively that he went to Malaysia and from there to London.”

“I just saw the boy (Kanu’s relative) in Abia state a few days ago and he reaffirmed what he told me.”

Kalu added: "One of his (Nnamdi Kanu) relations told me… because I was looking for him (Nnamdi Kanu) for good. When I arrived from the United States I went straight to my hometown. I visited the brigade commander, the commissioner of police and other intelligent agencies in the state when they said they were keeping him, and is not true.

“One of his (Nnamdi Kanu) relations came to me and the man he stayed in his hotel, in Bravu hotel, for two nights, reconfirmed to me that he left from the hotel he stayed to unknown place.

“I was looking for him genuinely to get him to my house and help to dazzle the issue because we needed peace. The Igbos never knew hoe much they were losing in GDP. People who come from Cameroon and other neighboring countries to buy things in Aba were not coming, so how do you want GDP to grow when everyday people would be fighting on the street.

“I’m not sure any of those Biafrans love Igbos the way I love them. I put my business at risk for the Igbos when I was governor - My oil block was revoked, Slok Airlines was closed.

The former governor said PDP looted Nigeria’s treasury and cannot win the election in 2019.

“People opened our central bank and maxed out the money, so how can they return again.”

“Buhari remains one candidate that has 10 million people on his back and he will make a good showing with the South East.

“Buhari has done better than all the presidents in the South East. Look at the South East roads, he is building them today.”

When asked if the South East is truly marginalized, he replied, ‘Yes they are marginalized' .
