Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari will finally visit Plateau State where more than 80 people were killed over the weekend.
On Sunday, dozens of people were killed in three local government areas of the state by armed herdsmen.
Vice President Osinbajo visited the state on Monday to grieve with the people.
The president left Abuja this morning for Calabar to commission projects, including the Navy Reference Hospital and the automated rice seeds and seedlings factory.
The president would stop over in Plateau on his way from Calabar, Cross River State, this afternoon to grieve with the government and people of Plateau
The day after the incident, the president announced on Twitter that he would be sending his Vice-President to Plateau:
